Most of you know that I love my sun room, but I also love the beach, heat, humidity and sand.  So, why not incorporate all that into one?  Here are some shots of my sun room, which I LOVE… did I mention that already?ImageImageImage

And oh, the floors in our sun room are heated.  Yes!

Best part is the new water feature we just bought.  It added just the perfect tranquil water sound…and, even better, it has lights!

I am determined to get back into the swing. My creative promise to myself in 2012 is to take pictures everyday starting today. I will try to have a “theme” to each day and some sort of creative caption or explanation of my thought process to go with each image. At the end of the week, I’ll post my weekly adventure. This is going to be so much fun! Stay tuned!!

Wow…it has been so long since I’ve blogged, I almost forgot my log in. Well, I’d like to promise that I was back on a regular basis, and that I all of a sudden had so much more free time. HA! Nothing could be farther from the truth. Work is incredibly busy, and even though the kids are more independent, it seems like I’m running and doing more for them now then I ever was. I’m loving every minute of it though, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I will, however, commit to making a valid effort to post more often. I’ve even recharged my camera batteries…so look out! :)   In fact, I had the honor of capturing the smiles of one of the most adorable couples I know.  My parents.

Verna and Roy Gibbs

WOW…it has been a very, very long time.  It’s overwhelming to think about what to cover, so instead I’ll just start fresh.  New goal…1 post a month, more if you’re lucky.  I feel like I have sooooo much to say, and for most of it, this is NOT the place to say it…but maybe by expressing myself a bit creatively, I’ll release some of the pain I’ve experienced these past several months.  In the end, I’m a much stronger person and very determined…so LOOK OUT!! Hahahaha.

To start…here are a few shots from some client visits we did last week. I’ve been sooo extremely busy with my real job that I  haven’t had any time for photography.  So, when I had an opportunity to blend the two, I could barely contain myself.  Next week I head to St. Louis…not sure I’ll have many photo opps, but I’ll bring the 5D just in case.

Peace- lv

Zach and Kara

Here are a couple of my favorite people.  They are great kids and it is such a blessing to have them both in our lives…and the smiles on their faces today did my heart good.  Love you both!

Uncommonly Compatible

Matt and I have been together a long time, and it sometimes amazes me how different we can be in our interests and still be so compatible with each other.  He is a stock market junky and loves nothing more than to listen to Jubak and others  give their insight on the market.  He is a huge Warren Buffet fan and found out about this book that was written by Warren’s mentor, Benjamin Graham…which has now become his new investing “bible”.

Oddly enough, as he was discovering this book, he also stumbled across an article that struck a chord with my area of interest…it being about an artist and having a full time job…that discussed a book that might as well have been written just for me.  It’s a quirky book about how to survive in the everday working world as a “legit” artist.  Just what I needed.  So, I sat down to read it as I listened to JIMMY Buffet in the background :)

So, he’s the numbers guy drinking the gin and tonic and I’m the creative one with a glass of Cabernet Sav…maybe it’s the things that we don’t have in common that helps us get along so well.  Although I do enjoy a glass of Tangueray and tonic myself. :)

Christmas Present

Mr. K was born on Christmas morning.  What a special gift they got!

He seemed to like the blanket that his grandma made for him.

Already a Hawk fan.

Meanwhile…big sister discovered that the bath toys still had water in them.  She was having a blast!

Welcome to the world K.  Thanks for letting me take your first photos! :)

Merry Christmas to All
